READER INFORMATION

Privacy Policy

A clear explanation of information handling on these reading-only pages.

The short version

These pages contain no user accounts, contact forms, newsletter sign-ups, comment sections, payment tools or health questionnaires. They do not ask visitors to submit names, email addresses or medical information.

The page code does not include analytics tools, advertising pixels, remarketing tags, third-party fonts, embedded social media or tracking cookies. Reading progress and opened questions work within the page without sending interaction reports.

1. Information needed to deliver the website

When a website is visited, the hosting infrastructure receives technical information needed to respond to the request. Depending on its configuration, this can include an IP address, the requested page, date and time, browser information, error details and security events.

Hosting or network providers may process this information for delivery, reliability, abuse prevention and security. The precise logging, retention, processing locations and safeguards depend on the hosting infrastructure serving these pages. This notice does not claim that visiting a website leaves no technical records.

2. Cookies and local browser activity

The page code does not set cookies or use local storage, session storage or advertising identifiers. It does not fingerprint visitors. Standard browser features, such as caching, browsing history, printing and downloads, are controlled by the browser or device.

Hosting security services may operate separately from the page code. Browser cookie controls can be used to inspect or restrict cookies set by the hosting infrastructure or other services.

3. Checklists and personal notes

The downloadable appointment checklist is a static text file. Downloading it does not submit answers. The website provides no facility for uploading a completed checklist or storing health notes.

If a reader adds information to a downloaded or printed checklist, that information stays wherever the reader chooses to save or share it. Protect completed notes on shared devices and share them only through an appropriate channel with a chosen healthcare professional.

4. External links

Reference links open external resources only when selected. Those resources have their own privacy practices and may use cookies or collect technical data. These pages request that the browser omit referrer information when following links; browser behaviour and external-site processing remain outside this page's control.

5. Advertising and sensitive information

The page code does not transmit reading activity, inferred health interests or other events to advertising platforms. It does not build advertising audiences, sell reader profiles or collect health histories.

If an advertising platform is used to lead visitors to this publication, that platform's own handling of activity before arrival is governed by its policies and the visitor's account settings. It is separate from the code on these pages.

6. Retention and security

No submitted reader messages or account records are stored because those functions are not offered. Technical server records, if enabled, are governed by the hosting configuration and the provider's applicable retention practices. No fixed retention period for those records is asserted here.

No website can promise absolute security or anonymity. Browser privacy settings and secure device practices may help protect personal browsing. Private-browsing mode does not hide activity from every network or service provider.

7. Privacy rights

Applicable law may provide rights to information, access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or a complaint to a data-protection authority. Which rights apply depends on the processing and the jurisdiction.

This reading-only publication does not provide an online request form or public correspondence channel. This notice does not create a claims-handling or identity-verification service. It does not limit any rights available under applicable law.

8. Adult audience and updates

This resource is intended for adults and does not intentionally solicit personal information from children. The notice may change if the website's features or information handling change.
